Privacy Policy

Summary

VoiceKey is designed as an iOS custom keyboard and companion app. The app does not require an account, does not include ads, and keeps settings, vocabulary, corrections, style profiles, and pending insertion data in local app storage or the shared app group container.

Keyboard Access

Full Access lets the keyboard extension read shared VoiceKey settings and memory, use pending insertions saved by the app, and perform cloud cleanup when the user enables it. VoiceKey does not upload keystrokes in the background.

Cloud Cleanup

Cloud cleanup is optional. When enabled, VoiceKey may send the text you ask it to clean, nearby cursor context, selected mode, and relevant vocabulary or correction memory to the configured AI service so it can return polished text. Do not use cloud cleanup for information you do not want sent to that service.

Privacy Mode

When Privacy Mode is on, the keyboard uses local cleanup behavior in this scaffold and does not perform cloud cleanup from the keyboard.

API Keys

If you enter an API key for development use, VoiceKey stores it in Keychain. Production deployments should use a backend-issued token or proxy instead of a hardcoded app key.

Audio

The current build treats direct microphone capture in the keyboard as a capability spike. If direct recording is unavailable, use Apple dictation plus Clean Last or the Record tab fallback. VoiceKey does not store audio after transcription by default.
